As a photographer, I had the opportunity to participate in a fascinating project with Frame Colectivo. The project involved multiple photographers who explored various themes related to the local stores with over 50 years of history in Almada, a charming city in Portugal. The project aimed to focus on the architectural typology of the suburbs of Lisbon and its gradual transformation through gentrification, an issue that affects many cities worldwide.

This collaborative and transdisciplinary project was a unique experience, and the result was a printed publication that serves as a contemporary archive. You can check it out on Frame Colectivo's website: Comércio com Memória - Frame Colectivo. The publication features the work of many talented photographers, and it's undoubtedly worth your time.

My contribution to the project aimed to collect an archive of the stores and restaurants in the region run by migrants. These businesses have been around for many years, and they continue to preserve the legacy of the city while adapting to the gentrification pressures. It was a privilege to be part of this project, and I'm proud of the final result.
